Your web site is your “shop front” to the world, and delivers the first impression your customers will have of your business. It needs to look the part. Apart from what is directly visible to the eye, a web site also needs to meet the bar on several other parameters such as fast performance, being easy to understand and navigate, and being secure.
With 30 years’ experience in web technologies, I can ensure that all these parameters are not only met, but exceeded.
Everything you need, delivered. On time, and within budget.
About Me
Greetings!
After graduating from University with a degree in Computer Engineering, my first job was in the private banking industry, with a large international corporate in Zurich, Switzerland. After some years, I moved to the United Kingdom, where I worked with a consulting firm. During my seven years there, we grew the team from 10 people to over 150, and we also had around 1000 people working offshore in India. I moved up the ranks pretty fast: at 26, I was managing one vertical of the business, and at 28, I was heading up professional services for all of Europe. After this, I decided to strike out on my own, and ran my own business for several years, specializing in IT services for investment banking (derivatives). Over the years, the list of my clients read like a who’s who of the corporate world: ABN AMRO Bank, British Telecom, Circuit City, Citibank, Commerbank, Prudential Insurance, Virgin Mobile and Wal-Mart,among several others. The work was fun, the people I worked with were fantastic, and the money was great, so I was quite happy.
Inspired
Some time ago, I took a break from full time work to travel. During this time, I met a lot of amazing people who contribute wonderful things to our world: a Grammy nominated singer who heals people with his spiritual music, a family that owns a large farm in California and was in the process of turning the entire farm organic, a gynaecologist who heals women with just yoga and Chinese medicine, an astrologer who helps people with life’s big questions, a healer who can help reverse even the most acute medical conditions with energy healing, and a medium who can help people speak with loved ones who have passed on, to name a few. I also met many “ordinary” people who run small local businesses, and in so doing, serve the societies in which they live and work. Very few people know that over 60% of the world’s employment is generated by small local businesses! One common thread I found is that they are extremely good at what they do, but don’t necessarily understand how technology can help their business. That inspired me to think about how I could use skills I had learnt in the corporate world to serve these people. I trained up in WordPress and related technologies so that I could build affordable solutions for small businesses.
The Goal
In my eyes, these people are our everyday heroes. My intention is to deliver one web site for a small business every month, and complete at least 100 such projects in 10 years. This will be my contribution to the seemingly ordinary people who work day in, day out to make our world a better place, without seeking any special recognition.

Business Case Studies
Here are some real life case studies from some of my client projects, where technology has been used to achieve very specific business goals in a measurable way. Case studies have been carefully selected with businesses that operate in very different areas, and were looking to achieve very different things. Whatever your goals are, I’m sure that with a bit of brain power and technology, we can achieve them together.

$60k in 3 hours every month
One of my clients is a very famous artist, with a very active email list, and they were looking to have a steady ongoing income rather than the lumpy income artists usually get from shows or new music releases. An idea I came up with aimed to create a steady income of $60,000 every month for just 3 hours' work as a starting target.
Making $40k in 2 weeks
One of my clients is a qualified doctor (gynaecologist) who lives in the US. She is also a certified yoga teacher, and a qualified doctor in Chinese medicine. The revenues of her business came mostly from online consulting sessions, with a small percentage of in-person sessions at a clinic in the city where she lives. By running in-person group retreats on a farm in Italy, she was able to make $40,000 in just two weeks.
Free Army of Salespeople
One of my clients sells a product that cleans CNC machines. The product is great, but getting potential customers to know about it took up a lot of time, effort and money. They wanted to get their product in front of more potential customers. Using the concept of "power of the collective", we implemented a fully automated affiliate system which rewarded service engineers for referring new customers. Everyone wins: customers, referrers, and my client.

AirBnB cottages
The web site is for a pair of cottages located in a lovely green forest in the beautiful Himalayas. The owner wanted a beautiful web site that brought out the beauty of the cottages and the location. The web site also needed to give prospective clients a good feel about each cottage and activities available in the area, so that they have all the information they need to book a stay.

Fine dining restaurant
This restaurant is run by a very passionate and talented young chef. My work started from understanding the philosophy of the brand, and how the client wanted to communicate it to customers. After discussions, it was agreed that a light, fresh look with lots of images and some fun moving elements would suit the brand ethos best.
